The Spectator

Layout Design, Illustration, Team Lead, Editorial, Brand Identity, Animation

For two years I was the Lead Designer at Seattle University’s student run newspaper, The Spectator. I led a team of three designers which produced a physical newspaper weekly for campus distribution. I spearheaded the creation of a new visual identity that modernized the aesthetic of the paper. Additionally I worked on a number of projects for digital and print media, including double page spreads for feature articles, illustrations, and an animated introduction for Campus Currents.

Their light is seen in all of their creative works, each design intentional and engaging. Luca breathes life into every publication with their unique artistic perspective and care. He sees a world, too often painted in grayscale, in vibrant colors; so graciously sharing his dynamic palette with others.
